MONTREAL, QC, August 25, 2017 – The article entitled “Visceral fat reduction with tesamorelin is associated with improved liver enzymes in HIV” has been published in the journal AIDS (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28832410). This article reports the results of a post hoc analysis of pooled data from the two pivotal clinical trials of tesamorelin in HIV-infected patients with excess abdominal fat. The aim of the analysis was at assessing the impact of visceral adipose tissue (VAT) reduction on liver enzymes among patients who responded to treatment (VAT decrease of 8 percent or more) and who had elevated liver enzymes at baseline.
